Did you guys see those decoupaged letter bangles Anthro had around last season? They were really cool, but,
A.) they never had my letter
and
B.) they weren't really super I-must-own-this lovely.
I don't really troll the Etsy jewelry that much, but what did my happy eyes behold a few weeks ago?
An "E" bracelet that was too pretty to go un-owned,
by Kapcity, who has an incredible shop with other bracelets and paper goods.
(Left and top R photos mine, bottom R is Kapcity's product photo.)
I chatted with Kristen, the designer about the Anthropologie bracelets and she told me, unsurprisingly, that she'd been making them for years and was a little shocked to see them on the sales floor there! Who knows, maybe one of their designers saw or bought one of Kristen's and then a year or two later, shazam! There they are. It's so tough to have such a perfectly simple, wonderful idea like that, because it is so difficult to protect oneself and one's work/design.
Anyway, the bracelet is gorgeous. And it's got got my name (well, initial) all over it.

I just adore that bracelet! I saw it!! I thought it was great, so happy you got it! Argh, I hate lifted ideas. I feel like that often. Or, sometimes, I just think something would be a good idea, and WHamo, brick across the face, mass produced at some snazzy joint...Sheesh....
Love the Leaf skirt below too. About the bag, Too bad they didn't hire you to design the bag. I almost got it a couple months ago, and thought, if only...And, then, you perfected it!! Perrfecto.
I forget you have this super cute joint over here....So, here I am. Visitor girl.

Cute bracelet. And yes Anthro is known for swiping ideas...ask any fabric designs (eg Judy Ross) and they'll tell you.

Very cute bracelet. I have that same cardigan. With all the gray in fasion these days, I wish they had a wider range of gray (not silver!) shoes available.

Emily you must hit Etsy jewels more often! So many fun ones, especially when I search vintage in the jewels!
