Walking in the Woods

October 21, 2007 · Artsy (Mine)

We went on a fun, aimless fall drive yesterday...around the rural areas, where we can ooh and ah over baby goats and cows and deer and things. The leaves are just beginning to change, and we drove for such a long time, not getting anywhere, just driving. We pulled off of one of the main stretches, and had a little walk in the woods. There was a very clear walking path that wound all around, and I think it must have a purpose. It was so cool and quiet and beautiful.
I love the woods.

Lately, I've been working at some new tee and tote designs (getting ready for the holidays, making sure there's lots to choose from!). I finished up this one, of two other little ones who have wandered into the woods.
I think I'm going to have the drawing printed in a slightly different color-way for a tee; a blue moon and blue coat with black trees on a cream tee.

In the meantime, I decided that I loved it too much to only have it printed on one medium, so I'm also offering it as a print in the shop. I love the Edward-Gorey-ish trees SO intensely...I think it's one of those cases of being a wee bit in love with a new piece.

I hope everyone's weekends are wrapping up nicely!

I love this print! It looks really fanastic - I do think it has a little Edward Gorey in the styling.

Oh, i can't believe it, i can't believe it! Was reading this post, nodding my head vigorously about woods-walking (just returned from a short outdoorsy getaway with my sweetie in upstate NY and Vermont). Smiled delightedly at this latest drawing, but cross-my-heart, I was thinking "If only she was wearing a blue coat..." /cheers
