The new "thank you" enclosure cards came, and I'm so pleased. I'm all over that little banner (I snagged it from an old drawing and popped it on here).
Today was a much, much better day.
I just worked at the computer and did totally boring stuff, but somehow, it was much better. We ended the evening with some 'ritas (I really love awesomely bad nicknames for things) and guacamole and such with my (our) lovely Sara and then saw my sweet friend Jenny sing. Thank you for all of the understanding-of-cranky-generally-bad-days comments yesterday. It means so much to know the heat is boiling most everyone's brains, and it's not just me.

The "you are lovely" banner reminds me of those "you are beautiful" stickers (http://www.you-are-beautiful.com/STICKERS.htm)... which is definitely a good thing!

glad you are doing better today, I understand the cranky too....I've been in the process of a move...it's also been over 90 for the past 3 weeks.

Whenever the heat gets to me, I put on a swim suit, go out on the patio, and hose myself off. We have delightfully chilly well water. Or if you don't have a patio, you could hop in the shower for a quick cool down, or soak your feet in a bucket of ice water.
Does the trick every time.
I admit that sweating profusely when one is doing nothing more strenuous than sitting still is enough to make the best of us cranky.

dude, everyone has bad days. it's all good. :) and i was browsing thru sara's blog and i saw the portrait you did for her 2nd anniversary...that is AWESOME. if you ever decided to try out a different aspect of your painting, i think that'd be an amazing thing to pursue...i know you did it for a loved one, but i'm sure there are tons of peeps who would LOVE to be on that kind of waiting list. i'm just sayin'... :0)

don't you just love the word 'lovely'...its so soft and elegant and sounds so feminine...i'm glad you chose that word, it makes me happy...
crankiness happens...to everyone...like they say 'sit in your feelings, get to know them and learn from them'...don't move thru them too quickly or you won't know how to deal with them...

Can't wait to buy more things so that I can get that nice little card! The first thank you card is now prominently displayed in my entryway........so the first thing that people see is a sweet little drawing telling them they are lovely....:)
