Clearly, I love tea-towels.
I feel kind of obsessed with them, well, the making of them, these days.
My sketchbook is full of potential designs, but this is the newest towel...sweet, hand-dyed, light blue with a black + white + light-olive green print. I just listed them for sale in shop! Most of them are there, and a few are coming with me to Renegade. Good grief, that is coming up so soon! Next weekend!
Miette frolicking in a sea of freshly-dyed towels:
(EDIT): There was some concern about Miette being near my cloth products, for customers with cat allergies. Let me reassure you that the towels were laundered (for heat-setting) and pressed after he was laying near them. When I sell tees dolls and such, he's not allowed near them and they stay out of his reach until they're shipped off. Just a little FYI for concerned peeps.
Back to painting and planning. I'm in a productive frenzy, which I should really take advantage of, instead of being married to the interwebs.
Happy Weekend!

I love the tea towels! Have you thought of putting your designs on a dainty hanky? I would be all over one of those. Plus I could show it off all day long :)

I am procrastinating, so it's a good thing you're being productive. It goes in waves I guess! What a lot you've got going on, and yet, you gave us Seaplane, and tea towels and some other interesting links. Thanks!

Wow, these look great! Are you printing them with your gocco? If you are, well I don't think i've ever seen such clean gocco prints. Your designs are so suited to homewares, I want a whole dinner set!

I second the hanky idea -- I'm obsessed with shopping for vintage hankies! And yours would simply be icing on the cake!

Miette, you sweet boy. You are so handsome, such refined features... It slipped completely that you were of the male gender. Do forgive. Muwah, xx.

Oh my goodness! That hedgehog made me smile with glee! So adorable - I promptly ordered a teatowel then returned to read the rest of your post and read that your cat is named Miette. I adore that name (City of Lost Children?) and secretly covet it as a future daughter's name. Your blog is wonderful to read and your creations are stunning. Thanks so much for sharing - everytime I think of your hedgehogs I smile! ox

All I can say is, if you ever have any tee towels that are so "catted-up" (as we say at my house) that they can't be sold to the cat-sensitive public, I will be glad to take them off your hands. We have 2 cats, and I truly consider cat hair an accessory these days!

That dye job is coming off the prettiest shade of blue on my puter. I love it!
