I picked up these really beautiful vintage frames at my favorite vintage store in Atlanta a few weeks ago...and now they are fitted with my prescription! Hooray!

coooooooooool specs! They really suit your individual style too!! love that you put so much thought into your look!!
Oh!! I *love* those--you look so cute in them! I have longed for a pair of vintage glasses, but have yet to find the *perfect* pair. :) Have fun wearing those!! :)
Ooh where in Atlanta? Little 5? I've been coveting some expensive frames at my doctor's office that look like that and it'd be nicer to get them closer to me (in the ATL) and actually vintage.
I was lucky enough to have friends who worked at a Lenscrafters when I got my last prescription put into a pair of glasses from the 1930s. I'm rather in the mood for a new pair, though.
lovely! i love the shape of cateye frames. I have three pairs now. A black and yellow plastic pair, a black and silver metal pair and a bras and silver pair. I've been hoping to find some great all silver metal ones and dream of finding a red metal pair. For anyone searching for frames, i have found all mine at thrift stores and vintage stores all for less than $20 a pair. Most actual eyeglass shops, not chain stores, will be able to fit them with your prescription too.
I have a pair of gold ones just like that! I still need to get my rx put in though. Did you take it to a specialty optician for that or just a regular one? The one I talked to was a little worried about breaking the frames.
How well was the pricing and and fitting for the vintage frames? I know there can be a bit of a hassle when getting an older pair fitted with new lenses because the frames from wear and tear over the years can snap easily.

I have tried on so many of these, but they all look very weird on my face... sigh. You look beautiful. Feel the jealousy.
hi emily! i'm a little behind on my black apple reading since i've been dealing with some family issues but i was so, so, so happy to see your new glasses. i have two pairs of shiny metal glasses-one with flowers all over the front that are sunglasses and one rhine-stoned pair that are glasses. i'll have to take some photos and show you. do you know the brand of yours??? are they tulas?
You remind me so much of Enid from "Ghost world"! Her glasses are different, of course, but I'm pretty sure she has several pairs, and so do you. Sweet!

Oooh! You're so lucky. I've wanted a set of frames like that my whole life.

Oh my gasp! These are fabulous, and look so beautiful on you!
They remind me of my mom's old glasses from high school...gold frames with sparkly rhinestones in the corners. So cute!

Oh, I had some blue grey ones like that when I was in first grade. Ran into a ladder during gym class and ended up with a lazy eye. Memories.
