The Birds and the Bees Sophies

June 09, 2008 · Dolls

Hello, hello! I'd like to present the new batch of Sophies (that will be for sale in the update tomorrow) all decked out in woodland finery...

Sophiebees  Sophiebees2_3
I am really in love with this grey bee fabric. I snagged it in Portland on my visit! I'd love to have a bee dress...

This owl fabric is vintage cotton (it came from a blouse) and I barely have any left, so this girl is especially special.

Thanks for all the "Sleepy Boy" love! The more I look at them, the more I am obsessed. There is so much stuff I want to keep for myself this update!!!

Happy Monday!

I can't say I like these dolls' faces, they look too sad. But otherwise they are very unique.

I love the bee fabric.
Good luck with the update!

Heather · June 09, 2008 at 11:28 PM

Red hair girl is way cute, but I love that owl fabric! I wonder... How do you decide which dolls are sleepy-eyed and which ones are awake?! You are so talented. I just love looking at your stuff!

Jamy · June 09, 2008 at 10:51 PM

I am loving the blue haired girl. I am always working during the shop updates. I am jealous already for whoever get's her!

Jessicafied · June 09, 2008 at 10:28 PM

SO. Darn. Cute. I don't get my hopes up anymore on the shop updates. I'm thinking when you get settled in my fair city, however, there might be some "updates" at the local fair or one of our fabulous boutiques! Have you found a house yet? We can't seem to have any luck recently in finding one either, and we live here! I drove around and looked a few to recommend this weekend, but I was not enchanted, so hence, the search continues!
Let me know if you need anything BESIDES the cutest house ever, and we'll try to help!
I'll try to catch a Sophie, but at the least, I think you should to a triptych of Sam prints, I'll snatch one of those up!

I love them ALL. I am training my little fingers all day to try and pounce in there once I can actually decide which beauty I love the most. Even if I don't get anything at least I know there will be more gorgeous creations coming as long as your around.

Cindy · June 09, 2008 at 05:28 PM

Hi Emily,
I probably will not be able to get one of these beauties (they go so fast haha) but I would like to express my appreciation for them, so sweet, so cool and I love the knee socks ;-)
Just great. Just great.
All the best,
nicole

Oo! Digging the faux bois fabric! I think that's my favorite one!

Capree Kimball · June 09, 2008 at 04:51 PM

Oh! This Sophie has to have a "Sophie." The owl fabric is my favorite. Sophia means wisdom in Greek...and of course, owls are wise as everyone knows...sigh. I'll be logging on tomorrow!

Sophie · June 09, 2008 at 04:29 PM

Oh! This Sophie must have a Sophie!!! Love the fabric...especially the owl...for Sophia means "wisdom" in Greek!!!

Sophie · June 09, 2008 at 04:28 PM

So cute! Love the owl fabric and the overall style of the dresses!

Rachel · June 09, 2008 at 04:21 PM

Im going to have to go with the blue-haired damsel. I love it!

Cherry Tree Lane · June 09, 2008 at 04:02 PM

the owl one is my favorite but the bee is a close second!
you have been one busy bee yourself

Nancy Cook · June 09, 2008 at 03:54 PM

I love the one with red hair! She would be a great sister to my boy doll I named Piere with the gingham body from your last update! I hope to add her to my collection tomorrow! Great work as usual!

gina · June 09, 2008 at 03:46 PM

oh my goodness, I don't know which I like best! The faux bois, the bees, the owls...they're like the forest meadow Sophie collection!

sarah · June 09, 2008 at 03:41 PM

Ohh I love the last one with the owl fabric, but the faux bois one matches my Martha Stewart faux bois sheets. Nice job on these!

Fox · June 09, 2008 at 03:41 PM

Had to pop over and say WOW! Fantastic work, I'm crazy for that last little lady with the owl print and it looks like I'll have some competition for her too! You're so very talented and it's a real treat to see and hear about your work.

cam · June 09, 2008 at 03:39 PM

wow, I love them all! Great work Emily. I love the woodgrain dress, and the owls are fabulous. Oh how I want one of these as a friend.... :)

Holly Neufeld · June 09, 2008 at 02:34 PM
