For the last few weeks, I've been compulsively sketching these little guys:
I finally got the chance to draft a pattern for one, and after a few questionable trial-runs, I managed a 3-D realization of the lil' creepers that had been creeping around my sketchbook. It's not often that I can make a doll or a soft thing look exactly the way I'd imagined it in my mind (and in my drawings), but this time it worked like magic:
I used flannel, wool felt, this beautiful blue ticking I got on our trip, cotton (for some details, like the inside of the ears, and the collar), wee red buttons, and a bit of coffee stain to make him look a little aged.
I'm not sure yet if they're something I'd enjoy making for the shop, but I'm working on things for the next update, so maybe a few will creep in there.
xoxo

I love it! I wish one would creep into a shop update...
Oh, and I saw a wee blond JoJo look-alike this weekend wearing your hedgie shirt. Absolute cuteness.

From looking at your drawings, I thought the doll would look astoundingly cute, but only in profile. That last picture of him looking at the camera absolutely proves me wrong. I love it.

I like the way the arms look in the sketch -- they look like they are reaching out to get you.

So my mom was over today for a visit and she turns to me and asks, 'you know that black apple girl?' "yes", I said. "which picture do you have in Isla's room?", she asks. "Bird plane", I said. "oh, I love how she draws those girls with the black pixey hair cuts, like short and pointy, i love that', she says. "yes, very cute", I said.

Just a thought -- I think it'd be really cute if you made the arms moveable with buttons sewn on at the joints! :D

I am not that sure if I like them... they remind me of a bad dream I had when I was little. Yes Creepy. Nice work though.
