1barack

I'm very happy with Georgia right now, 'cause it looks like lots of other folks (both that I know and didn't know) Barack'ed the vote too.

These days are so exciting! There is such a feeling of potential and hopeful change this go 'round, from both parties...for me, there is such a happier/different feeling than in 2004.

Go Georgia!!

Spa Therapy Works · February 05, 2008 at 10:26 PM

You are not alone! =)

Shanon · February 05, 2008 at 10:52 PM

My sentiments exactly!!! Go Obama! Take us to a better place.

Amelia Santiago · February 05, 2008 at 11:04 PM

I don't even live in the States and I think Obama rocks! :D

jessieofoz · February 05, 2008 at 11:05 PM

Woohoo Georgia! I hope he does as well out here in California as he did in Georgia!

Cedar · February 05, 2008 at 11:37 PM

oh, we barack'ed it here too. unfortunately not all of california did... still much work to do, but the hope and passion is very very strong!

vanessa · February 06, 2008 at 02:07 AM

I too think it's exciting, but scary as well. I hope we elect someone who can competently clean up this mess. :(

Hooray for being able to vote from France! :)

Emily · February 06, 2008 at 02:50 AM

Gosh and it is sooo close right now. He and Clinton are both tied at 48 percent here in New Mexico. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Either way it's a historical vote.

*karen · February 06, 2008 at 02:51 AM

Yay! I was excited last night when I was watching the results (in the middle of the night, as I'm in Europe right now) & saw that Georgia was going for Obama so heavily.

I'm still waiting for my turn next month in Texas. :)

Sarah · February 06, 2008 at 05:43 AM

Woo Hoo! Obama! I know that he's got a few votes here in NY!!!

Kelly · February 06, 2008 at 06:48 AM

I'm the Illinoisan! GO Obama!!!! Go Obama!!!!! Whoo!

Jess · February 06, 2008 at 07:37 AM

Good for you, and even better that you blogged it! We barack'd too last night. I have to say I would have Ron Paul'd, but thats a whole different story. :)

Lorrie B · February 06, 2008 at 07:38 AM

I am happy to report Alabama has finally woken up from its deep sleep and Barack'ed it too. You are right; hope is evident.

Heather · February 06, 2008 at 08:08 AM

I'm not American but I really hope Obama becomes your next President. He's everything the current one isn't it seems: smart, young, articulate and a unifier for your divided country. Go Obama!
I finally have a blog so would love to link to you if that's ok ;)

Christina · February 06, 2008 at 08:24 AM

This must be the most exciting time in years, even in the Netherlands it's an extremely important issue. I'm kind of pro-Barack too at the moment.. So good luck!! xx

Not me. I'm sad. I hate to see President Bush go. I think he's been an amazing President during a difficult time. And, I voted, but just for the guy that bugged me the least. But, what always makes me happy is that we live in a land where power changes hands with no blood shed. We each get a say... what an amazing gift and something to truly be grateful for.

tiffany · February 06, 2008 at 10:35 AM

ooo go Obama! Been on my radar since I saw his speach at the past elections democratic convention!

Emily · February 06, 2008 at 10:37 AM

I am getting so excited already, but if that's happening with other people too everywhere it's a good sign!

amy · February 06, 2008 at 10:46 AM

In Colorado we only had caucuses, but Barack did come out ahead in the polls. That's a good sign. Yay!

risa · February 06, 2008 at 11:18 AM

Kansas seriously Barack'ed it. The site that I was at was smallish, about 700 people, 500 of which were for Barack. It was really great.

Nadine · February 06, 2008 at 12:35 PM

I feel like I haven't had a president for the last 8 years. I went into mourning after the last election and tried to figure out how to move to Canada, but it's not easy! I'm a volunteer at the Obama national headquarters here in Chicago, and I'm so excited but the prospect of having a president that I can feel proud of. I'm finally hopeful again.

Melissa · February 06, 2008 at 12:38 PM

Unfortunately, I am Independant and in NY, we don't have a voice in the primaries so I was unable to vote. Not to be a killjoy but I'm one of those folks not too keen on Obama...I'M SORRY!!!!!

Marilyn · February 06, 2008 at 01:50 PM

yay barack! we're sad that our primary here in Oregon isn't until May, so it probably won't make much difference at that point, but glad to see Obama did so well last night. here's hoping!

poetas · February 06, 2008 at 02:38 PM

I Barack'ed the vote too! Go Barack!!!

Elena · February 06, 2008 at 03:45 PM

I'm not super pleased with the candidates this go (I really wish I could've voted for Alan Keyes), but I am excited to have both a woman and an African American running, even though I highly disagree with their politics.

Good for everyone who voted! It's our civic duty! :)

Lara · February 07, 2008 at 01:13 AM

I am proud of the country being able to accept both a woman and an African American candidate. I, however, voted for Hillary and feel she is the best person for the job of taking the country out of the mess Bush has made of it. I find it a bit sad that younger women don't seem to see the significance in her possibly being the first woman president. I think they take for granted all the gains made by their mothers and grandmothers.

Elizkat · February 07, 2008 at 10:34 AM

Emiline-

Tim and I also Barack'd the vote, and I'm glad you posted it on your blog.

By the way, I just want to say that as a young woman I'm very proud and appreciative of all the work previous generations have done to give a voice to the women of this country, but I'm not going to vote for someone JUST because they're a woman. I just don't think Hillary's what we need right now.

Jenny · February 07, 2008 at 12:55 PM

i feel like barack is trying to hide his islamic past (read his book that he now regrets publishing) and has said that if the political winds turn sour, he will side with islam. it clearly states in the koran that anyone who does not believe in islam will die at the hand of a muslim "when" the war begins. we should all be a bit more conservative as liberals have RUINED the world by increasing our taxes to pay for the 21 million illegal aliens ANNUALLY, which is not fair that I have to pay for public assistance when Im 25 and have to go to work everyday like everyone else. these people are getting away with too much and i want my country back. there also isn't a proper republican to vote for this year so we're all screwed anyway. pro Palestinians are disgusting and barack is a supporter, and he is also too under experienced for president. we need a zionist running for office. if israel cannot exist, none of us can.

ian · February 08, 2008 at 01:13 PM

Ron Paul the vote!
