True Love

True Love    approx. 11"x14"x1"   Acrylic on wooden plaque

I did this sketch over a month ago, and as you can see, I originally intended her banner-tattoo to have a long line from an X song on it:

Scan0064

It felt more right to just have "True Love" on there instead.
And it is Valentine's day soon, after all.

I'm off to work on some dolls to wear the doll-sized scarves I made last night.
Happy Weekend!

Seriously? She's impossibly lovely, with her coquettish little tilt. True love, indeed. xo

Beautiful! I especially love that you showed your sketch of her first. I'm always intrigued by artist's process and how they get to the finished art piece. Lovely...truly lovely. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, she is just perfect! And that blue color in the background is beautiful.

I listened to X all day today. Love love love them.

I am trying to not be broken hearted about the day time shop updates. I'm a medical social worker in a hospital, and we don't have access to Etsy at work, and so I have no way of making it to your updates. One day I am going to talk you into splitting the shop updates into two posts - one during the day, and one for the poor souls who can't get online until evening. :)

I also wanted to tell you that my three year old, Felix, already recognizes your artwork. We're big fans over here.

I can't believe how busy you've been. I wish I've been half as prolific of late. I have to say I do love this little ladies face! She is quite pretty with her curly lashes.
