...will reappear after serious quality time interrogating fiendishly handsome man depicted by fiendishly handsome Alan Rickman above.
I think it is National Reading Harry Potter weekend.

hear, hear! We were up until 4:30 am reading. After a brief break to sleep, bathe, eat, and get groceries, the boy and I have settled in and haven't moved for something like four hours.
I do so love these weekends. Last time around, it was the boy, the boy's sister, and I on a blanket under the shade of a butterfly bush in our apt's hillside garden.
I wonder, years from now, how we'll reflect on International Potter Weekend.
Glad to know I'm not the only one out there who thinks Alan Rickman is a good-looking, multi-talented guy! Have you seen him as Colonel Brandon in Sense & Sensibility? As much as I love that movie, I had to laugh when my husband renamed it "Snooze & Snoreability." I was too busy admiring his cleverness to be offended by his unabashed mockery. Alas... enjoy the read! Our local bookstore gave away free copies of a smallish-something called "Life After Harry." Is there such a thing??? It's like in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory after all five tickets have been found and the newscaster says, "There are many more important things... offhand I can't think of what they are, but I'm sure there must be something." ;-)
Got the book at 12:09am...started reading at 12:45am, and finished up at 7:30am...at which point, all red-eyed and sniffly, I handed it over to Scott.
I love Alan Rickman, too, ever since I saw "Truely, Madly, Deeply". We even share a birthday!

sheesh, sorry but i wont be apart of this madness! haha i fell asleep to the very first harry potter movie back in the day so after that, i never gave mr potter the time of day. plus adrian mole is way cooler to me haha
I too read it very quickly in one sitting and found myself at odds. I loved it as I've loved all the HP books and I'm tickled to death that y'all love it too!!!
And Alan Rickman is eye candy even to us slightly mature girls!!!
I got the book at midnight, grabbed two Mountain Dews from the 24 hour convenience store and read all night until I finised at 9:20 the next morning. Ahhhh, it was bliss.
Bit sad it's over, though.
I could listen to Alan Rickman talk all day long. Yum.
I just got my book and still haven't cracked it (chalk that up to seeing Interpol last night), but I need to hunker down and read it. Also, Alan Rickman is a very handsome man and extremely talented. *sighs*

300 more pages to go!
And has anybody seen the latest picts of the guy who plays Longbottom? He's turning into leading man material.
hi emily! i finally got the cards jillypickle bought me from you at renegade. i looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove them. love. love. love. besos!!!!
Amen!
Rickman is the only person that could have played Snape! I always loved him as Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility. I have loved him in many other films, but that and Snape are his best roles.
Th book rocked my world. So much happened my head was spinning. But I will not ruin it for those that haven't read it by saying anything...

are you done? I forced myself to split it into two sections: half yesterday, half today. I've gone through a lot of kleenex in this one. There's been outright sobbing at points.
*sigh* yes, now I'm left with that ... "so now what?" feeling.
never got into reading the books....though I am wildly intrigued to find out if Hermione and Ron end up together at the end....feel free to email me and let me know.
I loved the last book. I, too, read the sixth the day before the 7th. What are we all to do now that it's over? I may just start back at the beginning. :)
You should make a Snape painting--or perhaps one of your lovely paper dolls! It would be fun to play dress up with a young Severus--I could see him wearing a Joy Division t-shirt under his robes.

hahaha...i don't have the book yet, the last weekend we went to see Harry Potter, all the movies come late to Chile ....y hace unos dias por fin vi el laberinto del fauno, tremenda pelicula, me acorde de ti *¡*
i am digging the harry potter as well. took my 12 yr. old to the party at our local bookstore and got home at 1 am!!! Lots of reading going on at my house this past weekend and this week!
re: Kelly's comment from the 22nd... Alan Rickman + Trent Reznor = Exactly what I imagined Snape to look like when I first read the first book. EXACTLY.
I have the biggest crush on alan as well! I find him much more attractive in sense and sensibility but he makes snape sexy. I never new you were an hp fan! I loved the new one!

I had a marathon reading session yesterday and read the book in (almost) one-sitting. Now I don't quite know what to do with myself.

Well, yes Snape makes me swoon, but so does Sirius. And the new book took over my life last week, and now that I've finished I'm just bored.
