This is another one of my new stuffed designs that will be headed to Renegade with me, and then I may be carrying more regular-like in the shop. She's so freaking cute, and has grown on me more and more in the week-plus that she's spent with her (yet unfinished) sisters hanging out in the studio. She kind of reminds me of one of those "clown-knock-down" games that you play with bean-bags at the carnival (you know, the ones with the frizzy hair and wierd faces?). I'm looking for an example online to show you...but nothing is coming.
Wait, I just remembered that "Curb your Enthusiasm" packaging has them:
Okay, well maybe she doesn't look like them. But she kind of feels like them, I guess. Or what I imagine that they feel like.
We just got home from a friend's birthday party at his parent's-in-law's huge house complete with pool and this pink stuff, and it was fun. Not really our normal scene, but the boys did end the day by playing Guitar Hero, so I guess it was kind of normal in a way.
Tired, tired, and hoping to be more entertaining tomorrowish!
Enjoy your weekend!
xoxo

You have had lots of fun tipsy-ing lately! I love your new little stuffed kids. They are adorable.
The more we stay in at night (me and Mr. L), the less we have a scene at all...Normally it would be lots of folky-bluesy musicians hangin' round under the stars....A far cry from where I used to be, and a far cry from where I imagined I'd be, yet perfect all the same...
xxo

Ha!!! My bf and his friends are always playing guitar hero! None of my other friends know about it. It's insane! I love it when they stuff up a song and the crowd in the game start boo-ing them! LOL.

Hee! I was looking at your lovely stuffed Apple Head there and thinking, "Geez, I've NEVER seen a thread hanging off one of Emily's creations." And then I realized that no, that wasn't a thread, it was a dog hair resting on my screen and your little girl was perfect. And SO CUTE!
Also, I just read somewhere that Lily Allen doesn't know how to play guitar so at one of her recent shows she played the Guitar Hero guitar. Which cracked me up to no end.

Aww that new little apple-head gal is adorable. I know exactly what you're talking about too when referring to what she reminds you of. And, argh Guitar Hero, I am so awful at that game, and so grateful my Mister isn't addicted to it, though there are plenty others that consume his time haha.

What sicko would want to knock down such a sweetie? :) My friend actually collects knock-down-clowns!!! There's some other name for them, but it's eluding me right now.
Anywho, very cute, per usual. xo

That little girl really is adorable. I wish I lived closer to Brooklyn so I could check out your booth @ Renegade because I LOVE your work! Any chance you will be headed to the one in Chi-town?

Sarah M., are they weebles? I have a vague, vague recollection of something that goes "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down". Hmm.

They are called carnival punks, as noted in a comment above. But I do remember weeble wobbles, very fondly!
