So, thanks to a sweet bunch of little 'applets, I've got loads, LOADS of mail-room work to do today and tomorrow and as far as I can see. As you might remember, I'm a big fan of bribing myself in order to do things that I don't want to do...things such as a.) cleaning or b.) packing + shipping.
The bribery today involves making chocolate and peanut butter brownies, listening to more of the audiobook of Fragile Things, the newer Neil Gaiman story anthology (his reading voice is so lovely and comforting and wonderful), and then dinner with my friend James. And then more packing up of things.
Some good mail just arrived...Risa sent some adorable tea party favors for the ladies who attended the make-believe tea party:
Also, this beautiful package from Krista of Papered Together, the hedgie cards I mentioned the other day, and other things inside...
And goodness gracious, do you SEE those surprise personalized hedgie cards she made for me? I am so spoiled, Krista! Thank you!
Okay, back to the mail-room I go.
Happily, too...actually, let's just say contentedly.
PS: I love the new painting on Mark Ryden's homepage from his new show...go visit it. It is beautiful!

I love the little hedgehogs, so wonderful...and the perfect little pet for people who are allergic to life, like me.
Congrats on the successful shop update.
(please know that I am reading and commenting on your blog when I should be packaging up orders)

Hi! Wanted to tell you that I got my print the other day and I love it!!I missed all the stuffedies the other day and i am sad about it. i really wanted the hedgehog, cuz i really love a hedgehog. i wish my husband would let me get one. maybe i can convince him! i may have to get the notecards, sorry that i am copying you. but, i love them. hallmark had a cute set of notecards with a tiny little hedgehog on them, had to have them! I teach kindergarten, so you will have to update the shop next time when i am out of school. that way maybe i can get something. but just love my little umbrella girl. love her. thanks so much.

Mark Ryden is my absolute favorite. Thanks for the clue in to the new work...Also, I received my little Risa sachet also, and I must say, don't you wish that you could just share the scent with everyone here? It was pure and clean and lovely! I put it in my drawer, that "Te Lindo" = Lovely Tea... If you ship away and do your little Black Apple Queen duties, maybe a little munchkin like me might send you some bribery treasures???!!!!(I buy in to bribery big time also, and sweet food delicacies always work)

Everything from your shop went so quickly that I didn't even get to see the trinket boxes... Did you handpaint them? ah... Maybe I can snag one next time...

those little cards are sooo cute!
Congratulations on your shop sales!
Oh, and I never knew you had hedgehogs in America! For some strange reason I always thought of them as little English chappies! You learn somethin' new in blogland everyday!

Very odd...I spent part of the evening of this post looking at that same Neil Gaiman audiobook and debating whether to buy it for my husband's birthday. I'd heard of Gaiman, but not this anthology, before. Just odd, I tell ya.
