I promise. I'm here...I've just been spending time with a lovely guest for the past week. Next week, there will be updates to both the blog & shop. Never to worry! I've just been hanging out in a diorama from The Natural History Museum and binging on art books (more on those in a few days) and generally having a wonderful time. I'll be back, you know wild horses couldn't keep me away!

I hope everyone is in the midst of a wonderful weekend!

PS: Photo above by my incredibly talented and equally lovely ex-photo professor, Michael Marshall. He's the bee's knees, and loves natural history museums even more than me...

Hmmm ... natural history museums . I LOVE natural history museums. In LA the mammal halls are in rooms with hardwood parquay floors and the diarama cases also constructed with hard woods. It is dark and exotic, the diorama murals and the animals are just so bright and vivid in comparison. Ever since I was a child (and to this day) I wished that I could live there and that the mammal hall was my bedroom.

Wow ... umm I do not believe that I have ever shared than information with anyone before *ahem ... blush* I tried to find a picture to share with you, but alas I could not find any.

I am so very glad that you are not extinct and that you are having a wonderful week. I look forward to your return and all the details!! Have a wonderful weekend sweet girl!

If you are into photography of the Natural History museum dioramas, you really must check out Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto--perhaps you already have! He also does stunning work with old movie theaters...Thank you for the link to your photo mentor's work. Also very nice!

Much better than any of the digital photography professors we had. I had some pretty amazing professors for my regular photography classes though.
