I'm usually hoping for the feeling of a still, enigmatic moment in my
work, and this painting captures at least a bit of that feeling. The
grip they each have on the other's wrist was very important to me when
I was making this - and also important that it remain mysterious. Is it
comforting? Gentle? Forceful?
We don't get to know.
