I've been working on this new Milkland inhabitant for the last few weeks, and I'm really excited to finally show her to you.
If you look at my author-photo to the right, we certainly are two of a kind!
She's a completely refurbished vintage doll, and I really wish I had taken some photos of the "before" (I always, always forget to take "before" photos, I think it requires a foresight I just don't possess). She was quite unfortunate. Floofy red hair with puffy bangs...ugly purple dress, etc. But I saw some potential in the beautiful sculpting of the face, and so here is Isobel the Milkland Bandit doll.
The Milkland Bandit approx 5" x 14" Vintage Doll-body, acrylic, new + vintage fabrics/notions
Of course, her mask comes off to reveal her gentle face.
Her scalloped cape is fully removable, too...
I sewed her into her dress by hand, though so she's not coming out of the white + red striped frock or pinafore any time soon!
I hope your weekend is treating you well (mine is!).
I'll be back before you know it.
