Besides fretting for the folks of the Gulf coast, I'm having/have had a pretty nice long weekend. How about yourselves? Technically I've been working pretty much the whole weekend, but nevertheless, it's fun work. I stocked up on some doll making supplies at the good old Fabric Depot yesterday, my spoils including some fake fur. Fake fur, I tell you! But don't be afraid, I think I'll put it to good use. We'll see...it will be an experiment.
I also got some beautiful, beautiful grey wool to make myself a fall bag, since I can't seem to find any grey purses to my liking.
I've got a bunch of new work to show you right now, so here is another new painting from the Forest:
Matilda Mountain 10" x 10" x 1" Acrylic on vintage plaque
I'm working on some larger paintings now, because my studio was starting to fill up with all the smaller pieces that I've been making lately.
It's a bit chilly here right now (Josiah and I can scarcely believe our luck when we get to wake up on an August/Early Sept. day with our toes cold) so I think I'm going to make some cozy food. I've been wanting to try the homemade Marshmallows for something like 2 years, so maybe today's the day. Perfect for plunking in some hot chocolate!
Happy Monday, my dears.
