Owlette

June 02, 2008 · Dolls

I just returned from a very exceptional and marathon-length lunch with one of my favorite friends-that-I-never-see (hence the marathon element of catching up), and I also brought her this little doll I made for her:
Some_girls_2551
The reason for the little owl-in-pocket is that she is newly expecting a little person.

Who could've known that my dolls are, in fact, marsupials?

nan · June 03, 2008 at 01:56 PM

I think her legs are groovy!

monicalee · June 03, 2008 at 01:51 PM

i'll bet those little owl's would disappear from your shop just as fast as your dolls! stinkin' adorable. and having just had a baby (my third), i think that gift would have trumped all other shower gifts. love it!

mrs.deane · June 03, 2008 at 12:07 PM

HOLY MOLY!! Love that. Love the cursive printed fabric too. You are a special kind of talent.

Speaking of your talent. My five year old has confiscated my Flora and Fauna notecards, she has clipped them up around her room. The little tree root girl in the black dress is her favorite. She is a little spooky just like her!!

Danette · June 03, 2008 at 12:00 PM

awesome.
i bet your friend was super excited to receive such a glorious gift.

So cute - your friend is lucky to get such a special gift!

Rachel · June 02, 2008 at 11:35 PM

P.S.

I know that you are quite busy looking for a home, creating Owlettes, having long lunches, and all of the other very charming and productive things you do, so is it completely selfish of me to declare how much I miss the peaks into your wardrobe? Some girl wonders ...

mashechkva · June 02, 2008 at 10:58 PM

Holy adorable - this Owlette takes the cake. All of your dollies are so very chic. She would look at home on the bustling streets of London, or meandering Parisian lanes. I am always a fan, but this little Owlette in particular has stolen my heart.

mashechkva · June 02, 2008 at 10:53 PM

Love the pocket! I also really like the use of the cursive alphabet fabric :)
