Oliver Dunce + Update news!

June 04, 2008 · Artsy (Mine)

I was able to have my new paintings scanned this afternoon (I have all of the larger ones done out-of-house, since my scanner's capacity is 9"x12") so I'll be sharing them over the next few days.

Also, I've gotten loads of emails from people anxious for the next update, so never fear...it's just around the corner, next week!
Update

Oliver Dunce    9.5"x12.5"x1"    Acrylic on wood plaque

I was really missing the dunces, so I painted a new little guy. I wanted to keep it very much with the trappings of a classic portrait-style painting, and I'm really happy with the results. In fact, I really want to selfishly keep him for our house, but I know I can't be doing that willy-nilly.

I'll be back soon with more new work, and have a happy rest-of-your Wednesday! And, hey, thanks for all the Button-Collector-cardi love. It made me very happy.
xoxo

So beautiful! I was browsing the Spoonflower blog this morning and I'm pretty sure I spotted some Black Apple fabric in the mix?! Can't wait to see whats to come of that!

Ha! I have a friend nicknamed Oliver and he is a dunce (a cute dunce, but still cap-worthy).

Thought maybe I caught a glimpse of the famous Emily and beau yesterday going into a downtown eatery for lunch while I was walking over to Cine to a screening of a friend's film. But alas, it might have been copycats.

Oh I love the little Oliver. I guess I no longer have to fear only having boy children since your boy selection is definitely growing!

Oliver is definitely a cutie, great work as always. Can't wait for the update! Thanks for the sneak peek!!

I understand how you would want to keep this painting... I would have a hard time giving my artwork away. Thanks for sharing your talent with everyone!

How did I forget to add that I am super excited about the update. I have been waiting patiently. As an Australian can you please let me know what Eastern time translates to so I can set my alarm clock. Can I put in Georgia into the time calculator.

Cindy · June 04, 2008 at 05:58 PM

Just beautiful. It looks so meaningful but I imagine it talks to different people about different things. I would be tempted to keep it for myself too.
