Finally! I got a Sophie doll..and the one I wanted.Thanks Emily :)
UGH! I'm SO upset I missed the pencil cases!!! I'm always there for your updates, but today my car decided to break down and I was 3 minutes late and missed all of them! In case you can't tell, I'm pretty upset!
Are their faces painted on or printed? It's hard to tell from a photo.
kiwi · January 29, 2008 at 02:06 PM
your items sold out so fast...
it looked like the update never happened
Steff · January 29, 2008 at 02:08 PM
Oh I love them so! If I got one, though, my dear Peeps cat would make it her own (and ruin it). I have to enjoy them vicariously.
Although I didn't get a painting today, I enjoyed the update. I wish I could have sprung for Fern--what a shame February is the paying-off debts month! Congratulations on your success.
moya · January 29, 2008 at 02:08 PM
Oooh...heartbreak! Some maverick snatched up the pink-haired sophie doll before I could. :( Hope to see more of these lovlies one day soon!
They are all so cute!!!!..Can't wait to buy one!!!!...and I have a totally random question....how do you crop your pictures that way with the round borders and also with the scalloped borders?...I'm dying to know!
Irene · January 29, 2008 at 02:11 PM
They are lovely, Emily! As always, your dolls are a hit!
uuuuuhh finally, I got my doll!
I'm so happy, it makes my day!
Though I would have loved to own the Fern painting, I totally can't afford its price. Congrates on the success!
I'm new to this blog and theblackapple on etsy, but I must have one of the dolls eventually. They're so sweet. Alas, it's the end of the month and I don't get my February paycheck until later in the week.
Happily, I did get one of the squirrel cases so I have that to look forward to.
Becca · January 29, 2008 at 02:31 PM
Wow! That was truly exciting. Congrats on a most successful update! Well done.
OH Emily..
I know I am not the only one.. BUT I wanted circle-time. Had it in my cart (too long) I guess and someone else snapped it up. WOW, I guess to actually get one of your pieces, its like trying to win the lottery.
Anywho, enough of my sadness..Congrats on such a successful 5 minutes :D
I could not even see the goods before they were already sold!! I entered at 1:59, then refreshed at 2:00 and even thought that update wasn't happening because of a net system, but I was wrong! Everthing was already sold!!!!! :( I hope I have better luck next time.

men, that's lightning sales! As quick Luky-Luke-style sales! ah well, maybe next time! :)
oh fer crying out loud ... i guess i should count myself lucky that i got a sophie doll before all this madness began, but really, i do so want a painting!! wahh. so happy for you and your success, though, emily.
Amy · January 29, 2008 at 05:08 PM
Pooh - I was too slow and I missed out on some of your goodies... I am especially sad to have missed out on a sweet squirrel-love pouch :( Congrats on such a quickly sold-out update tho!
P.S. I have also wondered how you crop your pictures with the rounded corners and scalloped borders so if you feel like sharing one day I'd love to know!
Congrats on such a successful update - I watched all the new items disappear in under 4 mins - amazing! Must be such a rush for you - hope you are celebrating! :D
I used a time zone converter on the internet to work out what 2:00pm Eastern time in Athens, Georgia meant for me in little ol Western Australia. I promptly set my alarm for 4:00am the next morning but unfortunately I turned it off in my sleep and missed the shop update completely! Although, seeing the post from Jen that your goodies went in 4 minutes makes me realise I had a slim-to-none chance of snapping up one of your dolls anyway. *sigh* Perhaps next time! Congratulations on a wonderful update Emily, I am in love with all of your new pieces.
jessieofoz · January 29, 2008 at 06:31 PM
Oh my goodness!!
My husband purchased two prints from you as a Christmas gift for me....I just love them! I wanted a doll so badly and I even made my poor husband come home on his lunchbreak to get me one.....but they sold out so quickly! He logged in at 2:02!
Is there any way to get a doll? Do you take special orders? I am a teacher at a Montessori school and my kids would just enjoy her company (but I would always bring her home with me!) I am red-headed and was hoping to adopt the red-headed doll :(
they are just so lovely.

Emily this is getting so depressing! A year of trying for an update treat and never once have I made an update!!! I wanted some of those originals, they were fantastic and the dolls AHHHHHHHHHHH. You are amazing. I hope someday you will take custom orders!! And if anybody bails and doesn't pay on things let us know!! (FAT CHANCE I know!! LOL)
Working BITES! Can't log on from work, so I couldn't get on the computer until now and everything is GONE. Phooey. I was so hoping for the red headed doll with blue eyes and the most beautiful necklace scarf. I want one of those for me...will have to learn to knit. Congrats on the totally quick sell out -- will have to settle for something else. Beautiful stuff!
i missed the dolls, i've been so excited about the shop udate and i had to work, due to time difference and i missed it! i havent been this upset since someone stole my bike on my 8th birthday..... hope its not a long wait til the next update :)
I really love your dolls, and my eight-year-old daughter does, too! I'm going to have to manage to get her one eventually. I went to the update, but like many others, it was over so quickly I didn't even see a single doll until they were all sold. Congratulations on your wonderful business.
If you get a chance, come by my journal and take a peek at my dolls, too: http://prudencepouts.typepad.com/ The way the doll with the black and pink buns turned out actually reminded me a bit of the photos of you on your blog.
oh man.... I waited finger poised on the reload arrow waiting waiting and waiting for the dolls.............. they never showed up! And then they were all sold! I will sit here waiting again..
kim · January 30, 2008 at 08:21 PM
.....yeah I agree with "susan" above. If anyone bails out of paying :)
I'm so desperate to having one of your originals that I'm getting ready to frame my "wee" house tea towel that I was so lucky to get to get from you :D
okay--it has to be exciting and frustrating for you to hear the boo-hooing on here, but i must add! i've been longing for a doll from you, but mommy by day/nurse by night just does not allow me to get in on your sold out in 4 minutes dolls!!
