I just finished work on this print, and I'm so happy with it. It is now available in the shop.
This image has a great deal of my personal history infused in it, and I think has a delicacy of line and a modern-ness of spirit that is really alluring. (I think...no, know that my Ashley's bearded guys are making me really miss my dad). On a more frivolous note, I am absolutely obsessing over the colors. It was fashioned out of two original drawings that I worked on in the last week, and color was partially digitally painted in.
Well, my sweets, it's a nose-to-the-grindstone sort of day (until we get to have a grilling party with my favorite boy and girl later), so I'll be off. Happy Tuesday to you, full of avacados and peaches and cherries and everything else good, too.

i think is my favorite one you have done. i'm glad that it is personal to you. you can tell and it gives off a lot of beauty and emotion. thanks for sharing this piece of you. it's just so beautifully delicate and real. I have loved your paintings as of late that seem to be a little more emotional and fragile.

This is so sad. But I love it. After skimming your etsy page, I've come to the conclusion that this is definitely my favorite of any pieces I've seen. Beautiful work!

this caught my eye last night, i was especially struck by the hopeful, lovely colours of the tears, how they are the only solid portions of colour in the image.
this is a very touching image:)

It is magnificent. I hope I won't sound presumptuous, but it seems to me this piece represents a kind of turning point in your work.

i love this print. i had no idea you had a blog. i bought one of your prints as a gift and the recipient, and her mother (as the recipient is only four) love the print. i have admired your work for a while now and this is one doesn't disapoint at all.

This painting is of course beautiful--both moving and, as you say, modern. This is just a quick note, though, to ask if you're familiar with the artist Ray Caesar? I saw his work on line and thought you might be interested--very cute and weird.

Emily this print is so full of love, that's what I think about first. The colored raindrops are beautifully inspiring :)

the feeling it gives is similar to being held tightly by someone you trust completely, at a time when you are unsure of the world... it's tentative, but strong and real. i like it a lot.
