I ebay'ed these little guys a while ago, and they just crack me up. The round, black "eyes" are so weird and almost distractingly weird...but I love 'em. We go through pepper pretty quickly around here, though (and salt, too) so their little seasoning-holding-bodies will have to be refilled pretty frequently.
I'm still feeling a little rough around the edges, but yesterday I once again spent the whole day (for me, 11 am -9 pm) packaging and shipping orders before passing out on the couch again with Miette and some mashed potatoes and Netflixed Law & Order SVU. It sounds very sad, I know.
But comforting.
I do have a few new projects/ideas in the works, so stay tuned for those
(hint: There are screens in my kitchen. and I'm not talking about the ones on the windows)
(hint 2: Sculptures. soft and hard.)
(hint 3: Albinos.)
And that's all I'm sayin' for now! Happy Wednesday!

Screens, eh? that could mean silk screening, paper making, or something weird involving shadow puppets and straining.

That doesn't sound sad, that sounds great! There is nothing better than a well deserved lounge with a puss and a dvd.

Eeep! I can't wait! I love your shop updates! And, those squirrels are sweet, indeed! I am on a squirrel kick right now, in fact I'm working on little red squirrels for my own shop! : )

I'm also addicted to watching Law and Order while I work on projects!
kate · March 14, 2007 at 02:33 PM
Oh! I bought the exact same squirrel s & p while thrifting a few weeks ago. Minus the tree. (I thought the arms seemed oddly circular for some reason.)

I love them, too.

your hints are intriguing...
i am excited to see what you come up with next...
it is pouring here and i couldn't get to work due to a political protest that shut down the buses so i am trying to organize...i wish i could do it while watching law & order with you. :)

Awww the little squirrels remind me of my grandmother's collection of figurines that I used to try to play with when I went over to her house and was really bored. I promise I didn't ever break one - I was super careful!
Hope you continue to feel better; vegging out with your new kittie, mashed potatoes and a good TV show doesn't sound sad at all to me, but very nice, especially when sick or exhausted. Take care!

fantastic little s & p - so cute! actually, a quiet evening sounds nice... looking forward to seeing what the hints come to be!

Those are adorable, it seems You and Ashley of kittygenius fame find the best things.
Target has some nifty vintage inspired Easter kitchen accessories. Like pastel pink, plastic, bunny shaped butter containers.

Well hello there, from Vancouver, BC! :)

Great shakers! Looking forward to seeing the new stuff. Should be going to the post office right now, but I am procrastinating...so I feel your pain!
Jane · March 14, 2007 at 07:04 PM
ooohhhh...sounds so mysterious! can't wait!
stephanie · March 14, 2007 at 07:57 PM
Ooh, the shakers are so cute. My mother-in-law collects shakers and has them all over the house, with plenty of seasonal ones making appearances. (Her kids joke that if you are looking for salt, just pick up anything near you and start shaking)

Sounds like a nice end to a busy day...I am still here, typing away (work project) but took a break with tacos (chicken and carnitas) and American Idol. Mashed potatoes sound like the perfect thing for you.

What is it about Law and Order SVU that makes a girl feel better.
Nothing like a little sexual violence to aid recovery.
Works for me everytime.
Shula · March 15, 2007 at 05:24 AM
Sounds really exciting, can't wait to see your new creations!
Cat · March 15, 2007 at 05:38 AM
I love "Law and Order:SVU"--one of my favorite shows (though I often get tongue-tied and say "Law and Order: SUV"). And mashed potatoes are one of my favorite foods...therefore I don't think that's a sad way to spend your evening =] Sounds delightful to me.

Hope you have completely revived and are muchly, much, much better today! Happy Thursday! :)

Just wanted to say, my gran has those exact same s&p pots, but without the text...how odd to see them on a random StumbleUpon!
Alex · March 15, 2007 at 03:58 PM
My boyfriend is always teasing me about watching these crime drama shows. I don't know why I watch them. Law & Order SVU is one of my favorites.
Jennifer · March 15, 2007 at 05:21 PM
