There is going to be loads of stuff! When I really took stock of all the little critters, girls, hearts, polka dots, etc. last night it was a little crazy. *Happy Sigh*...now for some kickboxing, and for some finishing/stitching up of dolls.
Happy Tuesday!
Wierdo Aside: A few people have emailed about my haircut, and now I cannot find your emails to let you know that I cut my own hair. I'm too particular about it + I have really wierd hair, so I've been cutting it myself since I was 16. I am also usually the resident hair-cutter for whoever I am around at the time...roomates, friends, boyfriends, little brothers.

Those valentine-y things look quite tempting!

I've tried to cut my own hair, but I can never get the back just "so". How do you manage?
Gina · January 23, 2007 at 03:03 PM
I had to laugh at your weirdo aside...because I recently printed out your pic to take with me when I got my hair cut :) Sincerest form of flattery, and all that!

The little hedgehog heart things look wonderful!! My friend, Valerie, recently moved to England and she wrote me to let me know she was gardening and found a real hedgehog living in the hedge in her front yard!!! Wouldn't that be fantabulous to have in your garden!!?? You probably have already seen this, but there is a hedgehog link on cuteoverload.com. Scroll down the page and you can see a hedgehog party where everyone with a hedge hog got together and had a party. That's the kind of party I want to go to. Can't wait for your etsy replenishment!!

I am actually planning my day tomorrow around your update. Can you believe it...Today I am bragging away on my post about the lovely treasures I have purchased from you. My wall looks like a "Tribute to Emily wall." It is just fantastic. Thank you for brightening things up...Where would my wall be without you?? ps: I cut my hair and everyone else's hair for 15 years. Then I woke up one day and said, I am too lazy. So I let my 15 year hair highlighting hairdresser friend cut it. I whine and cry about it every time...

I cut my own hair too! I have really short hair that I like to cut at least every 5 weeks, so I've saved a TON of money cutting my own hair.
Can't wait for the shop update!
I got tagged earlier today by Alicia Paulson to tell 6 weird things about myself. I just finished the tell-all on my blog and now it's your turn, my friend. YOU'RE IT!

Wow looks great! Hope kickboxing was fun!! Can't wait to see the new goodies!

I just got a haircut and while it's not a disaster, I'm not sure I like it at all. I was thinking 'Maybe a sort of a bob? But not a slick one... maybe' and then I checked out your photo, and now maybe I'll do what Emma did and just copy you!
Not to jump on the 'we love emily' bandwagon too hard, but given the recent drama I would have to say that your blog has the distinction of making me want the most stuff - as in 'I HAVE to have that'. You always find such beautiful funky stuff, that's just a bit different... or a lot different...

I can not wait to see all the new stuff you made! You must be a wizzard to do all that!Love the haircut by the way.
Desiree Schilte · January 24, 2007 at 03:19 AM
great job with your hair! me too, i'm the hair cutter for myself and my man, and it is a very liberating experience knowing that you don't have to depend on the fear-instilling hands of the hairdresser! looking forward to the shop update!

I'm excited to see the new additions, too - I left you a 'conversation' thingie on Etsy the other day to tell you how much I love your paintings, but I thought I'd reiterate it here.
Can't wait to see what you've been concocting!

sooo I wanted to let you know I am huge fan of yours. This must sound pretty random, but I had been thinking for a while about starting a craft blog, and you inspired me to do it. I orginally found you through etsy, and I absolutely love the stuff you sell on there (the joy division girl is right up my alley.. so cute). I love the eyes on all your creatures... I make dolls as well and eyes are a big thing.
So yes... I started my own craft blog called "i hate sundays", but I wanted to stop by and say how much I really love your stuff, and your blog. Please stop by sometime and let me know how I'm doing. I feel I have the most boring blog in the world.... although it's only a day old.

The hedgehogs look adorable, but alas, I'll be picking Nora up from school at 3, and I'm sure they'll have all found loving homes by the time I return! Maybe next time...
Kate · January 24, 2007 at 09:46 AM
Whenever I've cut my own hair I've always made a mess of it, cried and vowed never to do it again but then a couple of years later I'll think, "oh, how hard can it be?" and do it all over again! You must have better cutting skills :D
cassie · January 24, 2007 at 09:52 AM
please check out the sarah apple website - I think it's your sort of thing...http://www.sarahapple.com/index.php?...
