Brand new additions to my fabric drawers, courtesy of Reprodepot & Equilter. Looking at this, I feel like I've got enough dots to last a good long while...but I know that good dots always disappear fast around here! And enough tape-measure-theme cottons? I think I've got my bases covered in that department, too.
I've learned from the mournful disappearance of so many favorite cotton prints that one cannot dilly-dally around when it comes to favorites. You must snatch them up asap! I've had an ongoing love affair with the white "handwriting print", which was gone for quite a while, so I stocked up again...and also got the cute green as well!
Many little dolls and a bit of painting happening on this end, and I spent a great afternoon with my crazy and wonderful friend Mark today. A good Saturday. And last night, Friday night, was really fun as well...good Mexican food & fiiiinally Children of Men, which was really good. I must warn you that it is a bit grueling to witness, but I thought quite good. And my Clive...well, I don't even need to say how wonderful he was.
Gross. I'm grossing myself out. ; )
Happy rest-of-the-weekends, darlings! Oooh, and Happy Birthday shout outs for this one & this one!

Oh--Mark is a former student of mine (and perhaps also a friend, if that's not too oogy for him). Why doesn't he ever blog anymore? Will you tell him I said hello?
(Your new fabric rocks, btw. Hooray for you!)

Once again, you are inspiring me! I love those fabrics, especially the tape measure fabrics and the sampler fabrics! Thanks so much for sharing the sources as well.
It never fails that even when I buy MORE of a fabric than I think I will EVER want or need, I end up wishing I had bought more!
There is a yellow-stripe-with-roses drapery fabric from which I have been making travel accessories like dirty clothes bags and shoe bags. Well, I just finished an embroidered Christmas Ornament from the same fabric, and I wish I had tons more! It is so much fun to embroider over the roses! I blogged photos of the finished piece on 1/6/07, "Busy Fingers".
Love your new photo also, but the creativity of the previous pic of you peeking out the door was teriffic!
Keep up the good work. Looking forward to reading your blog in 2007!

Love the tape measure fabric! I too love Clive and have yet to see Children of Men! I know Clive is yours, so I'll admire him from afar! Happy Sunday!

Ooooh, lookee at those tape measures on the black background... I think I just found the border for some new window panels. Yum. Thanks for the share. I, too, planned to spend the weekend (okay, just a Saturday night quicky) with your husband Clive, but apparently the creepy-warm weather in the Northeast gave everyone the same idea. Two different theaters and two different 45-minute-long lines of teenagers stood between me and our tickets. Boo hiss. Will be rescheduling my tryst with Children of Men for a chilly school night when the children of men are home doing homework or myspacing or some such thing. ;)

when I was little there was a fabric store down the street from my house, it was shaped like a castle and I would beg to go there, just to be able to run my hand along all of the fabrics, and peruse the isles of eye candy and just imagine the lovely things that could be made of all of it.
Thanks for showing this fabric and making me remember the sheer wonder.

christine · January 10, 2007 at 06:00 PM
For those wondering where on equilter the yardstick fabric is, here is a link
http://www.equilter.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_search.html
rose · January 13, 2007 at 08:36 AM
Sorry about the above link, for some reason it didn't take you directly to the page.
Okay, then. Just put in yardstick fabric in the search engine at equilter and you should get all the fabrics pictured here.
