(Adorable and useful shelving situation in my studio)

Also, Love:

  • The Owl and the Pussycat that Stephanie created for the Kim Family Auction. They are the kind of wonderful that stopped me in my tracks. As for the auction, there is SO much bidding love already going on, and it has only been up for half a day. I love that, too.
  • Ysolda (aka my blondie-faux-twin) and her incredible sweatery things, especially the ones from her most recent post. When I see the things she makes, I am simultaneously inspired to learn to knit and also utterly terrified and humbled. I think it's a good feeling.
  • Noa Noa clothing, a tip from a lovely Natalie-blog-friend. I was already a devotee of their style without knowing of them! Lovely.
  • Art & Ghosts' beautiful Etsy shop.More spooky little visual curiosities...of the kind that I love. There is more and more to love on Etsy all the time. Thank goodness for that.
  • The freshness and fresh-startiness of early January. New Supplies. New organization systems which will be abandoned or stuck with, only February and March can tell.

Oh it's funny you mentioned the owl and the pussycat. That was my favorite at the auction and I mentioned it in my post today. Love the looks of your studio!

You continue to inspire and amaze. I love reading your blog. I just started blogging and I am hooked to visiting you. Thanks much for that enchanting Alice in Wonderland. It was fascinating. I have a little very very old teeny-tiny leather bound palm of the hand size “Alice in Wonderland” book, that of anyone in the world, you would enjoy. I adore Art & Ghosts, love for sure.

hello miss emily. it's nice to be back and catching up on your wonderful little world. when i was 13 i had a big pukey over-the-top ny style bat mitzvah...the saving grace was that i was already obsessed with alice and picked her to be my theme...i'd love to have an alice themed party again...maybe in a pretty little garden with giant girly faced flowers added. oh, and i gave ny a hug for you and she misses you.

Thank you so much for the wonderful Alice treat! It was enchanting, to say the least! Love, love, LOVE the sweet, bored Cheshire Cat that was super-imposed! Fabulous.

Your blog usually gives me a lift in my day, but today was especially nice.

Thanks!

Your enchanting work on Etsy led me to your blog which is just as enchanting! Your studio is fantastic, the color scheme is refreshing. And I love Art & Ghosts....I had my mouse hovering above the pram with the pink butterflies coming out of it......I was going to buy it for a friend who just had a baby but she might not appreciate the beauty of the fairies stealing the baby so I will save it for someone who will.

Thank you for linking to this amazing movie.

I just came across a very cool thing that the British Library is doing, called "Turning the Pages." If you go to this link:

http://www.bl.uk/onlinegallery/ttp/ttpbooks.html

And look at the last link listed on the page, you can look at the original Lewis Carroll book "Alice's Adventures Underground," written in Carroll's own hand with his own amazing drawings! It's so cool!

Thought you might appreciate it. I love reading your blog and want to chime in with everyone else to say that your truthfulness and authenticity is nothing but delightful and inspiring to me! Don't let those silly, jealous commenters get you down!
