Okay, when I decided that I really needed to make a space where I could wax on and on about famous (and sometimes not-so-famous) people that I want to marry, it's no suprise that Clive came to mind. I love that he's a bit of a return to the 40's + 50's version of the leading man, in that he's incredibly handsome, but also a bit of a rake and more than a little rough around the edges. "Closer" has become a movie that I really love, and I think that he and Natalie Portman are both superstars in it. I think that his Dwight in "Sin City" is what actually made me buy the red converse sneakers that I just ordered. The new Clive Owen Joint (I mean Spike Lee joint) The Inside Man is great, too...I keep trying to sell my parents on it! Go see it, you will like it. The only drawback is how much screentime is spent with Clive's face covered by a robber-mask. He's also good in Gosford Park & Croupier (both good movies!)
He's British and he's got the best voice since Alan Rickman...Let's here it for Clive, also known as my husband.

Hi--I placed an order for a print of yours on etsy and found my way to your blog. Can I just say that I totally and completely agree with you about Clive Owen. He's top of my list. It is surprising to me how many people find him repulsive, so I was glad to see I'm not the only one!

Hi! Lucky you, for two reasons:
(1) I love Clive Owen but not enough to claim him as a husband, so you have one less rival for his affections;
(2) You live in Brooklyn --close by-- ~sigh!~ Michael Showalter's stomping grounds (now HE's someone I wanna marry!!)...there was a Brooklyn Short Film Festival going on at McCarren's Pool Park this past Saturday which was rescheduled due to the rain, and Mikey Sho would have been the emcee ~sigh and a double sigh~ so I was wondering if vicariously, you would like to take a gander at it and him and report back to us (me?) vicariously inclined and envious readers...[more reasons to move back to Brooklyn!!] he starred and directed "The Baxter" which reminds me so much of your bed stand/ lovely light blue chest of drawers...he had the cutest Brooklyn apartment in the film with a bedroom that was part vintage `50s and gingerbread house-twee: red lamps, cute check'd curtains, a white piano (in the livingroom) and...I'm sure you've seen it...you look a tad too like Michelle William's character in the sweet made-to-look vintage black puff-sleeved dress--(but you're much cuter than she is of course)--more like your poster with the gal in the red flamenco dress--but I digress...please, please please, if there are any Michael Showalter sightings, please e-mail, blog, send homing pigeons...would be most grateful...and LOVE your blog...it's sweet! Thanks for allowing me to go on and on...

I love Clive Owen too. He's a little bit dreamy and a little bit rough. I think the best part though is that he has the same last name as me. However, I already have a lovely husband (even if he has a different name) so Clive is all yours.
